Description:
An introduction to GIS and Road Safety Audits (RSA) for Tribal transportation professionals. Participants will learn basic GIS skills using ESRI software to update and modify existing strip maps, understand the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) transportation inventory process and its importance for funding eligibility, and gain practical knowledge of conducting Road Safety Audits. The course also covers audit documentation, consultant coordination, and strategies for accessing federal transportation and emergency relief funding through accurate infrastructure inventory management.
